The Roco 7500109 H0 155 013-6 electric locomotive brings the legendary Deutsche Bahn 155 class to your model railway layout in its traffic red livery. The class 155, originally known as the class 250, was introduced by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1977 for heavy freight traffic. With 270 locomotives of this series, it reliably handled heavy loads and was a workhorse of the freight train service. After German reunification, these locomotives were transferred to the Deutsche Bahn fleet and reclassified as the 155 series.
From 1992, many of these locomotives were given the DB-typical traffic red livery in order to adapt them to the appearance of the modern railroad. With its angular shape and powerful technology, the class 155 was quickly nicknamed the "Strom-Container" or "Brick" and remained an integral part of German freight traffic.
