Would you like to enrich your H0 layout with an elegant classic of the Eastern European railroad world? The Roco EU05-25 of the Polish State Railways (PKP) impresses with its detailed execution, prototypical design and technical preparation for digital operation - ideal for Era IV vehicles with character.
The EU05 is based on the Czechoslovakian Skoda E 499.1 series and 30 units were delivered to the PKP from 1961. It was used for fast passenger train services on electrified main lines and became a familiar sight on Poland's tracks for many years. The EU05-25 is a variant version with typical design features of the 1960s.
The locomotive is equipped with fine spoked wheels, intricately detailed bogies and elaborately designed pantographs. The printing and paintwork are very sharp. Thanks to the NEM 362 coupler with close coupler link, the model fits seamlessly into any train formation.
The model is designed for analogue operation, but has a modern PluX22 interface and can therefore be fully digitized. The LED head and tail lighting depends on the direction of travel and can also be extended with driver's cab and engine room lighting in digital operation (after conversion).
Four axles, one of which has traction tires, together with a flywheel ensure smooth running characteristics and good traction. The minimum radius is 358 mm - ideal for layouts with standard track geometries.
With the Roco 7500122 EU05-25, you can bring an important representative of Polish railroad history to your layout - ideally suited for trains in international passenger service in Era IV. Now available in the model railroad store!
