With the Roco 7500157 103 233-3 electric locomotive, you can present one of the best-known and most popular locomotives in DB history in a modern, eye-catching appearance on your H0 layout. This variant of the class 103 is shown in a special traffic red livery with a contrasting frame - a homage to the classic red-beige version, supported by ROCO itself. The locomotive is the perfect draft horse for high-quality InterRegio trains of Era V.

The "Queen of the rails" with a long driver's cab

The class E 03 (later 103) was originally developed for the high-quality express train service and was the flagship of DB for decades. The 103 233-3 locomotive shown here is one of the last 30 locomotives built that were equipped with an extended driver's cab - a detail that is also reflected in the model with a 700 mm longer silhouette.

Special edition with unique color scheme

At the suggestion of numerous fans, this locomotive was repainted in the modern traffic red color scheme of DB AG at the end of its active service life. Roco supported this project as a sponsor - and so the locomotive received a special dedication under the right cab window. This design has been implemented in the model with great attention to detail and makes the 103 233-3 a special collector's item.

Technology that inspires

The powerful 5-pole motor with flywheel drives six axles, two of which have traction tires - ideal for heavy InterRegio trains. The model has NEM 362 shafts with close coupling kinematics and a PluX22 digital interface. The headlights/tail lights depend on the direction of travel and can be switched using a DIP switch. The LED technology ensures clear, low-maintenance illumination.

Perfectly matched to InterRegio trains

This locomotive is the ideal locomotive for the "InterRegio 461" car set (item no. 6200208, 6200209, 6210210). Together they make an authentic train composition of the late 1990s and early 2000s - a highlight for fans of Era V. The locomotive is suitable for exhibition operation as well as for regular operation on main lines.
