Are you looking for an internationally used freight locomotive with an authentic history for your analog H0 layout? The Roco 1616 from DB Cargo Nederland impresses with its harmonious detailing, genuine prototype reference and solid technology - perfect for Era VI fans!
With the integration of Dutch freight traffic into the Railion Group, Deutsche Bahn gained access to class 1600 locomotives from the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). Locomotive 1616 was repainted in traffic red in 2012 and was christened "Oldenzaal". To say goodbye in 2020, the last locomotives were decorated with personal messages from train drivers - an emotional moment in international rail operations.
The Roco model shows the locomotive without air conditioning, with innovatively attached pantographs and numerous attached plug-in parts, some of which are etched. The locomotive impresses with its filigree implementation and is a visual highlight on any layout.
The model is designed for classic DC analogue operation, but has a PluX22 interface for simple digitization. Four axles are driven, one of them with traction tires, supplemented by a flywheel mass for smooth running characteristics. The head and tail lights can be switched manually using a DIP switch.
With a length of 201 mm and close coupling kinematics in accordance with NEM 362, the locomotive can be easily integrated into existing trains. Perfect for use in international freight traffic on Era VI layouts.
The Roco 7500197 electric locomotive 1616 is not only technically sophisticated, but also historically significant. A must for all those who want to enrich their model railroad with authentic vehicles. Now available in the model railroad store!
