The Roco 7510032 1216 227-9 electric locomotive brings state-of-the-art technology and impressive performance to your H0 model railroad layout. The class 1216 known as Taurus 3 belongs to the Siemens EuroSprinter type family and is a universal multi-system three-phase locomotive. It was delivered to the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB ) between 2006 and 2008 in a quantity of 50 units and is used for both national and international passenger and freight transportation.
The 1216 is designed for operation with different mains voltages(15 kV/16.7 Hz, 25 kV/50 Hz and 3 kV/DC) and achieves a maximum output of 6,400 kW. With an impressive top speed of 230 km/h, it is one of the most powerful locomotives in Europe. The 1216.2 variant is also equipped with a country package for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The model impresses with its precise printing and faithful reproduction of the high-speed bogies. The powerful motor with flywheel mass ensures excellent running characteristics, while the PluX22 decoder offers extensive digital control options.
Thanks to the factory-fitted sound decoder, the locomotive delivers realistic operating sounds. The LED headlights change between white and red depending on the direction of travel, giving the model additional authenticity.
