Are you an enthusiast of Eastern European electric locomotives or would you like to add a real highlight to your Era IV layout? The Roco EU05-25 of the Polish State Railways (PKP) brings authentic PKP flair to your H0 tracks with its elegant shape, fine details and extensive digital equipment!
The EU05 was a slightly modified version of the Czechoslovakian E 499.1, which was delivered by Skoda for the PKP in 1961. A total of 30 of these four-axle locomotives were put into service in Poland as the EU05 series. With the EU05-25, Roco is producing a true-to-detail model of this classic Skoda locomotive - ideal for international trains of Era IV.
The model impresses with its elaborate paintwork, precise printing and filigree design of the bogies and spoked wheels. Fine metal wheels with low wheel flanges provide a prototypical look. The newly developed pantographs have an innovative attachment and set new standards in stability and detailing.
Equipped with a PluX22 digital decoder, the locomotive offers true-to-original sound and switchable light functions: Headlights/tail lights, cab and engine room lighting can be controlled separately digitally. A buffer capacitor ensures a stable power supply even on demanding sections of track.
Four axles, one of which has traction tires, and a flywheel ensure reliable traction and smooth running. The locomotive is suitable for radii from 358 mm and can therefore be used on all standard H0 layouts without any problems.
With the Roco EU05-25 of the PKP, you are securing a piece of European railroad history - perfectly implemented for your DC digital layout. Now available in the model railroad store!
