Description

Roco 7510129 H0 Electric locomotive 185 142-7, DB AG, Ep. V-VI, DC sound: Digital precision and impressive sound

With its digital equipment and high-quality sound decoder, the Roco 7510129 H0 electric locomotive 185 142-7 brings the modern freight locomotive from Deutsche Bahn perfectly to your model railway layout. This locomotive, part of the TRAXX AC1 series, impresses with its technical sophistication, precise details and versatility. A must for all fans of modern electric locomotives.

The prototype: The 185.1 series - versatility for freight traffic

The TRAXX AC1 series (Transnational Railway Applications with eXtreme fleXibility) was specially developed for freight traffic. The 185.1 series is a further development of the 145 series, which is equipped with the ability to operate on both AC voltage systems commonly used in Europe (15 kV/16 2/3 Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz). With a continuous output of 5.6 MW, a maximum speed of 140 km/h and a weight of 84 tons, it meets the requirements of heavy goods traffic.

The 185 142 locomotive was delivered with a country package for Switzerland, which enables it to be used across borders. From May 2007, it was temporarily in service in the striking Edelweiss design and is now a symbol of modern railroad technology and flexibility in freight traffic.

Digital features and model characteristics

This model offers state-of-the-art digital functions. In digital operation, the high beam, headlights, marker lights and cab lighting can be controlled individually. The integrated sound decoder provides realistic operating sounds to enhance the driving experience on your layout. The filigree pantographs, extra windshield wipers and detailed roof design underline the high quality of workmanship.

Color scheme and design

The locomotive is painted in the classic traffic red livery of Deutsche Bahn and features true-to-original lettering. The elaborate detailing, including the rail scraper attached to the chassis and the precisely reproduced roof superstructure, make this model a visual highlight.

Technical details and compatibility

The model is manufactured in H0 scale (1:87) and designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC). With a length over buffers (LüP) of 217 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive is suitable for a wide range of applications. The NEM coupling shafts with close coupling kinematics (KK kinematics) enable smooth integration into existing train formations.

Care and maintenance

The Roco 7510129 is low-maintenance and reliable. The maintenance-free LED light sources ensure long-lasting and energy-efficient lighting. To ensure optimum operation, the wheels and couplings should be cleaned regularly. If necessary, moving parts can be lightly lubricated to maintain operational safety in the long term.

Conclusion: A modern highlight for your H0 layout

The Roco 7510129 H0 electric locomotive 185 142-7 combines the versatility of the TRAXX AC1 series with the latest digital technology and impressive sound. With its detailed appearance and versatile functions, it is an enrichment for every model railway layout and a must for fans of modern electric locomotives.
