The Roco 7520108 H0 electric locomotive 193 139-3 'Italienpiercer' is an outstanding model that reflects the technological and design pinnacle of modern railroad technology. The electric locomotive 193 139-3 was delivered to SBB Cargo International in June 2024 and expands the renowned "Alppiercer" series with the "Italienpiercer". As the 1,250th Vectron locomotive from Siemens, it was given an elaborate special livery that symbolizes its role as a link between Switzerland and Italy. Its two side motifs show the Isola di Pescatori on Lake Maggiore and the Piazza del Duomo in Milan - a tribute to these important regions.
Roco has made no compromises in the design of this model. It has free-standing grab irons, partly made of metal, as well as a new design for the first time for the Italian traffic. The precise reproduction of the rail scraper and the LED lighting complete the numerous features. The model was developed in cooperation with Railcolor Design and is a licensed product.
Era VI (from 2007) stands for the digitalization and internationalization of rail transport. The Vectron MS from Siemens, equipped with ETCS Baseline 3, is a prime example of these developments and represents the highest standards in technology and design.
The Roco 7520108 is equipped with a PluX22 digital decoder, which enables extensive sound functions and digital light control. It has switchable high beam, individually switchable head and tail lights and cab lighting. A buffer capacitor ensures a constant power supply, while the Swiss light change ensures realistic operating conditions.
The special design of the "Italienpiercer" was created by Railcolor Design and combines artistic representation with technical precision. The two unique side motifs have been implemented with great attention to detail and make this locomotive a true work of art on rails.
