Description

Roco 7520109 H0 Electric locomotive 155 013-6, DB AG, Ep. VI, AC sound: A classic with modern equipment

The Roco 7520109 H0 155 013-6 electric locomotive is an exact replica of the striking freight locomotive from Deutsche Bahn. Equipped with the latest digital technology and AC sound, this model brings the characteristic class 155 in its traffic red livery authentically to your AC model railway layout. A highlight for fans of Era VI and modern freight train models.

The prototype: The class 155 - An indispensable workhorse

The class 155, originally known as the class 250, was introduced by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1977 for heavy freight traffic. A total of 270 locomotives were built, which were characterized by their high reliability and performance. With an hourly output of 5,400 kW and a top speed of 120 km/h, it was an important part of freight train traffic.

After reunification in 1990, the 250 series was renamed the 155 series and added to the Deutsche Bahn fleet. Many locomotives were given the typical DB AG traffic red livery, which is still an unmistakable feature of this series today. Due to its angular design and robust construction, the locomotive was nicknamed the "Strom-Container" or "Brick".

Model features and digital functions

The Roco 7520109 impresses with its detailed design and state-of-the-art digital equipment. In digital operation, the headlights and marker lights can be switched individually, as can the cab lighting. The high-quality AC sound decoder produces realistic operating noises and provides an impressive sound experience on your layout. The filigree pantographs, finely engraved bogies and LED lighting with red and white light changes underline the quality of this model.

Color scheme and design

The locomotive is painted in the classic DB AG traffic red livery and has authentic lettering. The exact reproduction of the bogies, buffers and pantographs gives the model a high level of detail. This locomotive is a visual highlight on any H0 layout.

Technical details and compatibility

The model is manufactured in H0 scale (1:87) and designed for the 3-wire alternating current system (AC). With a length over buffers (LüP) of 225 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive is suitable for use on a wide variety of model railroad layouts. Thanks to the NEM coupling shafts with close coupling kinematics (KK kinematics), it can be easily integrated into train formations.

Care and maintenance

The Roco 7520109 is low-maintenance and durable. The maintenance-free LED light sources ensure reliable lighting. The wheels and couplings should be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum function. Moving parts can be lightly lubricated if necessary to ensure long-lasting operational reliability.

Conclusion: A modern classic for discerning model railroaders

The Roco 7520109 H0 155 013-6 electric locomotive is an excellent model for all fans of Deutsche Bahn and modern freight locomotives. With its digital control, impressive AC sound and prototypical appearance, it is an enrichment for any H0 layout. Add this technical masterpiece to your collection!
