The Roco 7520159 brings the traditional BLS Re 4/4 172 in its final operating phase to your H0 layout as a fully digitized AC version. With digitally switchable high beam, Swiss light change, authentic sound, fine engine room and scissor pantograph, the model is not only visually impressive, but also technically impressive across the board.
The locomotives classified as Re 4/4 from 1964 replaced obsolete machines on the BLS network. Unlike SBB, BLS opted for modern technology with silicon rectifiers and shaft current motors. The Re 4/4 172, built by SLM and BBC, was used for both passenger and freight services - on BLS, GBS, SEZ and BN lines as well as adjacent to the SBB.
Equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder, the model offers realistic operating sounds. The Swiss headlights are LED-based, and the main beam can also be controlled separately digitally - as can other lighting functions. Ideal for demanding model railroaders who want to combine operational reliability and faithfulness to the prototype.
The locomotive is shown in its final operating state with a short bumper, fine wheelsets with low wheel flanges and the typical resistor grille on the roof. The multicolored reproduction of the engine room is a real highlight for all BLS fans, as are the engraved decorative line and the "Eggerberg" coat of arms.
The Roco 7520159 Re 4/4 172 offers powerful-sounding operation, the finest detailing and is ideal for use in Swiss and international train compositions. Now available in the model railroad store!
