The Roco 7520161 brings the universal TRAXX locomotive 186 251-5 in the AC sound version to your H0 layout - in the Railpool design of the years 2011 to 2018. With silver lettering, red UIC cans, digital sound, switchable high beam and realistic headlights/tail lights, this model stands for modern, cross-border freight transport at an international level.

From Angel to Railpool - the history of the 186 251

Originally procured for Angel Trains but never accepted, the 186 251 initially served as a test locomotive from 2008. It was not until 2011 that it became the property of Railpool, where it was used by numerous railroad companies such as RTC, Lokomotion and BLS Cargo. Its homologation runs were a milestone for transport in the Netherlands and other European countries.

Digital equipment for AC operation

The integrated PluX22 decoder offers authentic sound - from traction noises and fans to the signal horn. In digital operation, the high beam and the LED headlights/tail lights can be switched separately. Additional light functions are also available. The fine roof design with pantographs and insulators is another visual highlight.

Technically strong, versatile

The model has three powered axles, two of which have traction tires. A flywheel mass ensures smooth acceleration and braking. With an NEM 362 coupling shaft and close coupling kinematics, it is compatible with numerous wagons and train compositions in international freight traffic.
