The Roco 7520165 electric locomotive 1750 presents itself in the modern Rail Force One design and is an absolute highlight for AC model railroaders. With digitally switchable lighting, integrated sound equipment and numerous fine details, this model brings the current European rail traffic of Era VI authentically to the layout.

Prototype and use

Rail Force One, a Dutch rail transport company, took over six locomotives from Locon Nederland in 2017. Locomotive 1750 was repainted in the current company colors in the summer of 2025. With its striking design, it is a real eye-catcher in freight transport as well as on special services. The design was created in cooperation with Railcolor Design and gives the locomotive an unmistakable appearance.

Detailed model design

The model is characterized by numerous separately attached plug-in parts, some of which are produced using filigree etching technology. The air conditioning system on the roof has also been realistically reproduced. The pantographs have an innovative attachment that further enhances the model. Together with the precise printing in the Rail Force One design, an authentic overall picture is created.

Digital equipment with sound

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 digital decoder that produces realistic operating and driving sounds. In digital mode, the headlights and tail lights can be switched individually, as can the cab lighting. Thanks to modern LED technology, the lighting provides brilliant and energy-saving light. The combination of visual and acoustic fidelity to the original makes the model a special experience.

Technical features

The locomotive is driven by a powerful motor with a flywheel. Two axles are powered, two of them with traction tires for additional traction. This also makes it ideal for heavy freight service on the layout. With a length of 201 mm over buffers and a minimum radius of 358 mm, it can be used universally. Coupler pockets in accordance with NEM 362 with KK kinematics ensure safe operation in a train formation.
