New connections, new colors - the 186 119 in service

In December 2024, the SNCB put new direct trains between Brussels and Rotterdam into operation. Several locomotives were leased from Alpha Trains for this operation - including the former NS locomotive 186 119-1. It was given the new SNCB design and has been a permanent fixture on cross-border long-distance services ever since. The design was faithfully reproduced with the approval of NMBS Train World.

Digital technology for AC operation

The model is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder that provides realistic operating sounds, a signal horn, fan noises and more. In digital mode, the headlights/tail lights (white/red) and the main beam can be switched separately. The lighting uses long-life LED technology. In addition, numerous separately attached plug-in parts - some using fine etching technology - ensure a particularly high-quality look.

Technically precise, visually detailed

With three driven axles, two traction tires and a flywheel, the locomotive offers optimum running characteristics - even in demanding operation. The NEM 362 shaft with close coupler kinematics is used on the coupler side, allowing the model to be easily integrated into modern freight and passenger train compositions.
