The Roco 7520176 189 905-3 electric locomotive is an exclusive replica of the Rail Traction Company (RTC) for Era VI. Prototype and use

The Rail Traction Company, based in Bolzano, has been active in cross-border freight transportation for more than 20 years. Together with its partner company Lokomotion, RTC operates several locomotives of the Siemens 189 series, which were taken over from the locomotive rental company MRCE and given the striking zebra livery: red for RTC and blue for Lokomotion. The locomotives are regularly used in international traffic between Italy, Austria and Germany and stand for flexibility and reliability.

Finely detailed model design

The model is characterized by an elaborately designed roof section, which is equipped with a newly designed contact strip on the pantograph for use in Italy. Many separately attached plug-in parts and precise printing ensure a high degree of authenticity. The red zebra paintwork also makes the locomotive a real eye-catcher.

Technical features

The Roco 189 905-3 is equipped with a 5-pole motor with flywheel, which ensures smooth running characteristics. Two axles are driven, two of which have traction tires and thus ensure reliable tractive power. The headlights and marker lights change depending on the direction of travel and are displayed with cool white LEDs. The light functions can be switched separately in digital operation. An integrated PluX22 sound decoder provides a realistic acoustic experience.

For modern model railroad operation

With a length of 225 mm over buffers and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive is very versatile. It fits perfectly into international freight train formations of Era VI and is the ideal addition for model railroaders who want to realistically recreate current railroad operations.
