Description

The Roco electric locomotive 371 002 of the Czech State Railways (CSD) in Era IV is a model in a finely detailed design with separately applied plug-in parts and fine spoke wheels.

In the 1980s, the CSD and the DR decided to procure dual-system locomotives in order to simplify the constantly growing traffic and operating procedures in cross-border traffic on the Berlin-Dresden-Prague route. The expansion of the Decín-Prague line to a maximum speed of 160 km/h made it necessary to upgrade some locomotives. From 1994, six Czech locomotives of the Rh 372 series were adapted for faster international passenger services and have since been operating under the series designation 371 - "Turbobastard". The converted locomotives were based in the Prague depot.
