Description

The Roco electric locomotive 185 077 of Deutsche Bahn AG in Era VI is an elaborately printed model in "steel on steel" design.

The order from DB Cargo for 200 such units was the main impetus for the development of the TRAXX AC1, as the locomotive type was retrospectively named in 2003. The name TRAXX stands for "Transnational Railway Applications with eXtreme fleXibility". This locomotive, derived directly from the 145 series, was manufactured in a modified design and series designation and can now be used for both AC voltage systems commonly used in Europe (15 kV/16⅔ Hz and 25 kV/50 Hz). With a weight of 84 t, it has a continuous output of 5.6 MW and is approved for 140 km/h.
