The Roco 7590021 presents the legendary Deutsche Bahn class 103 in the DB Museum version. With Next18 interface, sound decoder and digitally switchable engine room lighting, this model is technically and visually a real highlight in TT scale.
The model shows the 103 113-7 in the shorter design with a red frame. The locomotive has been designed without skirts and buffer linings, which gives it a striking appearance. Precise printing, detailed roof superstructures, fine ventilation grilles and separately attached plug-in parts ensure maximum attention to detail.
A 5-pole motor with flywheel mass ensures smooth operation. Four axles are driven, two of them with traction tires for improved traction. The locomotive has a 3 headlights / 2 taillights with LED technology that switches depending on the direction of travel. In digital operation, the model offers switchable engine room lighting for the first time. The locomotive is also equipped with a Next18 decoder with sound and can be controlled with the Z21 app in driver's cab mode.
The E 03, later known as the 103 series, was the most powerful electric locomotive of the German Federal Railroad in the 1960s. Between 1970 and 1974, 145 machines were built in series. With its elegant design, the 103 is still considered one of the most beautiful electric locomotives in the world. The 103 113-7 is now part of the DB Museum collection and a symbol of the heyday of intercity transport.
The locomotive is designed for DC digital operation and is equipped with a Next18 interface. Thanks to its high performance and sound, it is suitable for use in front of high-quality intercity and express trains of eras V-VI, especially in museum or special train use.
This model is aimed at collectors and model railroaders who want to experience the most famous German express train locomotive in TT scale. With exclusive features such as sound, engine room lighting and Z21 compatibility, it is a must-have for discerning digital railway enthusiasts and fans of DB history.
