The Roco 7590033 shows the electric locomotive 115 509-2 in a unique special edition for the anniversary "80 years of the car train". With an exclusive design by Gudrun Geiblinger, detailed workmanship and the latest digital technology including sound, this model is a highlight for every TT collection.

Design & workmanship

The locomotive is presented in an eye-catching special design: an anthracite metallic base color with a bright red racing car in the style of the 1930s on the side. This elaborate printing makes the locomotive a real eye-catcher. Numerous separately applied plug-in parts, finely finished fan grilles and roof superstructures as well as the characteristic creased front end of the E 10 series round off the detailed overall impression.

Technology & equipment

The model is equipped with a 5-pole motor and flywheel, which transmits its power to four driven axles, including two with traction tires. A Next18 decoder with sound is used in digital operation. The locomotive has 3 headlights and 2 marker lights (LED) that switch depending on the direction of travel. In addition, switchable light functions and engine room lighting are integrated in digital operation.

Historical background

In 2011, Deutsche Bahn celebrated the anniversary of "80 years of car trains" more than a year late. Locomotive 115 509-2 was given a spectacular special livery to mark the occasion. The design, created by Gudrun Geiblinger, made the locomotive with its red vintage car motif on an anthracite-metallic background a unique eye-catcher in the DB fleet.
