The Roco 7700014 brings a real piece of Swiss railroad history to your H0 layout: the SBB De 4/4 1669 electric luggage railcar - for the first time in this version with PluX22 interface and LED lighting. The lovingly realized model impresses with technical refinements, historical accuracy and a striking design with window bars in the luggage compartment.

Modernization with flair

The De 4/4 1669 was extensively modernized in the Lausanne depot in 1965/66 and was intended to serve as a model for the entire series. The conversions included a driver's cab for seated operation, new pneumatic equipment, electric brakes and a closed driver's cab - a technical leap that made the railcar fit for demanding use on lines such as the Seetalbahn.

Technical implementation with PluX22 interface

For the first time, the model has a modern PluX22 interface for easy digitization as well as LED headlights with typical Swiss light changes. The windows of the luggage compartment are reproduced with finely engraved bars - a visual highlight with high fidelity to the original. The classic dark green livery with light grey running gear rounds off the authentic appearance.

Compact, powerful and suitable for operation

With a length of 175 mm over buffers, the railcar is ideal for branch line scenarios or as a single railcar on small layouts. Four axles are driven, one with traction tires, and a flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics. The locomotive is equipped with NEM 362 coupling shafts - but without close coupling kinematics, which corresponds to the historical prototype.
