The De 4/4 1669 - modernized for new tasks

As one of eleven vehicles, the Fe 4/4 was extensively modernized in the Yverdon workshop between 1965 and 1966. The De 4/4 1669 was the first vehicle to undergo this conversion and received numerous technical innovations such as a compressed air-controlled main switch, a new battery system and an ergonomically designed driver's cab. The railcar was used from the Lausanne depot on the Seetalbahn and the Vallorbe-Le Pont line - both demanding routes with gradients.

Digital technology with atmospheric sound and light

The model has a PluX22 sound decoder with authentic operating sounds such as traction motors, compressor, brakes and more. In addition, the cab lighting and engine room lighting can be switched separately in digital mode - both in bright, energy-saving LED technology. The Swiss light change is of course also correctly implemented.

Finest model implementation with historical flair

The bars on the luggage compartment windows are typical of this version - faithfully reproduced in the model. The classic dark green paintwork with light gray running gear gives the model its nostalgic charm. Four axles are driven, one of which has traction tires. The flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics, while the NEM 362 coupling shaft ensures operational safety - completely without close-coupling kinematics, as is the case with the historical prototype.
