With the Roco 7720014 De 4/4 1669 electric luggage railcar in AC version, you can bring a piece of modernized Swiss railroad history to your H0 AC layout. Equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder, LED headlights in Swiss light change and switchable cab and engine room lighting, this model offers technology and nostalgia in one.
In the 1960s, several SBB Fe 4/4s were modernized for use on demanding lines such as the Seetalbahn and Vallorbe - Le Pont. Railcar 1669 was the first vehicle to be extensively rebuilt in 1965/66 and from then on served as a model for the series. It was characterized by the striking combination of classic dark green paint and technical innovations such as compressed air control, a closed driver's cab and new switch material.
For the first time, this model is equipped with a PluX22 interface and a high-quality sound decoder that produces realistic operating sounds - from the traction motor to the compressor. In digital operation, the headlights in Swiss light change, the driver's cab lighting and the engine room lighting can be switched separately. All lighting functions are implemented using energy-saving LEDs.
The reproduction of the bars on the luggage compartment windows, the precisely engraved body parts and the finely finished roof make the model a real eye-catcher. Two axles are powered, two are fitted with traction tires - ideal for safe operation on more demanding layouts. The locomotive is equipped with a NEM 362 coupling shaft, but deliberately without close-coupling kinematics - in the style of the prototype.
The Roco 7720014 De 4/4 1669 in AC version combines authentic design with the latest digital and lighting technology - now available in the model railroad store!
