Description

The Dutch state railroad has leased two Vectron multi-system locomotives from European Locomotive Leasing (ELL) for the Nightjet service from Amsterdam to Vienna (and back). These powerful locomotives can travel at speeds of up to 200 km/h on international passenger services. This means that the Dutch capital is once again connected to the European night train network. The trains are operated in cooperation between NS, DB and ÖBB. This will provide travelers with a comfortable and cost-effective alternative to air travel on these routes in the future.
