With this blue light module for the MB2 Car System, Schönwitz offers a way of significantly upgrading police and fire department vehicles. This means that emergency drives can be automated and the appropriate light and sound effects can be triggered to suit the situation. Installed in a model, the circuit board works like a brain in the vehicle: all components such as the motor, reed contact, loudspeaker and, of course, the lighting are connected to the module, with a microprocessor on the circuit board controlling the program sequences. It is not only the emergency lights that are beautifully staged, but also smaller things such as brake lights when slowing down and hazard warning lights.
The 2 enclosed magnets are sufficient to start emergency drives, to cancel them prematurely or to switch the hazard warning lights and work lights on arrival at the scene of an accident. The magnets are detected by the enclosed magnetic field sensor. This can also detect the polarity of the magnets, which enables the lights and sound to be started in one direction and stopped in the other when driving to the scene. Up to 20 LEDs can be connected directly to the module. This means that 2 white LEDs can be used as headlights, 6 hazard warning flashers, 6 fast double flashers, each with its own timing, 2 synchronous triple flashers to create front flashers and 4 rear lights or brake lights.
External series resistors are only required to connect the working lights. An adapter board with suitable resistors for four white LEDs is available as an option. The module works from just one volt. This means that both small vehicles and stationary models can be operated with a single battery.
