Description

Schuco 35U00012 VW T2 DK German Armed Forces, Flecktarn (1:35)

Are you looking for a striking Bundeswehr model vehicle that combines classic Volkswagen Transporter history with an eye-catching Flecktarn design? The Schuco 35U00012 VW T2 DK Bundeswehr, Flecktarn in 1:35 scale is an interesting addition for collectors who appreciate VW Transporter vans, emergency vehicles, and military-themed models. The Flecktarn design and the specified gray color scheme give the model a distinctive, mission-oriented look.

The VW T2 is one of the most important classics in the history of Volkswagen Transporters. After the VW T1 Transporter had begun to show its age following 17 years of production and as more and more competitors sought to secure market share in the small van segment, Volkswagen introduced the second generation of the VW Transporter in August 1967. Compared to its predecessor, the T1 “Bulli,” the T2 was a completely new and thoroughly redesigned model.

The model was equipped with a newly developed 1.6-liter engine producing 47 PS, a redesigned independent suspension, and a sophisticated double-jointed axle with inclined control arms. As a result, the T2 offered very smooth handling that could keep pace with that of contemporary passenger cars. Visually, too, the T2 underwent significant development: its “new face” with a wraparound windshield seamlessly continued the success story of the VW Transporter, which had begun in 1950.

As a Bundeswehr variant, the Schuco VW T2 DK is a clear collector’s item. The Flecktarn camouflage design gives the model a striking appearance and makes it particularly well-suited for military-themed collections or dioramas. At a scale of 1:35, the model has a strong presence and can be effectively displayed on its own or alongside other Bundeswehr vehicles.

For collections and dioramas in 1:35 scale

The Schuco 35U00012 is ideal for collectors seeking a classic VW T2 in a special Bundeswehr variant. The combination of the historic Transporter prototype, the Flecktarn camouflage pattern, and the gray color scheme creates a model with a distinctive character. It fits well in display cases, themed vehicle collections, or matching dioramas.

Add the Schuco VW T2 DK Bundeswehr in Flecktarn design to your collection and add a special Volkswagen touch with a military look in 1:35 scale.
