With the Tillig 01123 TT "Städteexpress" passenger coach set from the Deutsche Reichsbahn, you can bring the flair of the high-quality express trains of the GDR of the 1970s and 80s directly to your model railway layout. The two-part set contains a 1st class coach and a 2nd class coach of the Halberstadt type - perfect for realistic Era IV train sets on a scale of 1:120.

Prototype of the high-quality DR long-distance service

The Städteexpress was a special DR train service for comfortable travel between major cities in the GDR. The Halberstadt passenger coaches used belonged to the modern generation of vehicles and were much more comfortable than regular express train coaches - with a striking orange-beige paint scheme, large windows and high-quality interior fittings.

Detailed TT model with Era IV character

The set includes a 1st class coach (red-orange with wide window band) and a 2nd class coach - both with finely detailed interiors and authentic DR lettering. The cars are elaborately engraved, equipped with standard NEM coupler pockets and close coupler kinematics. The typical Stadtexpress colors ensure a high recognition value on your layout.

Scale and technical details

The carriages are designed for nominal size TT (scale 1:120) and run on a track gauge of 12 mm. With a total length over buffers of 442 mm (for both wagons), the set offers realistic proportions and is also suitable for demanding operating dioramas. Both cars have prepared end-of-train lighting and can be retrofitted with interior lighting (Tillig 08863).

Perfectly combinable for DR city express trains

This set can be ideally expanded with matching models such as the Tillig 01804 (BR 118), 01805 or the 16419 baggage car. This creates harmonious DR express trains in Era IV - whether in long-distance traffic, international traffic or for special trips.
