The set includes three typical DR passenger coaches: a 1st class coach, a mixed 1st/2nd class coach and a 2nd class coach with integrated buffet compartment - all in the striking color scheme of Era IV. The Halberstadt coaches were considered the backbone of the comfort-oriented express train service and were used on many main lines in the GDR.

Detailed TT model with Era IV character

Each car is equipped with a finely detailed interior and impresses with precise printing in the style of the German Reichsbahn. The characteristic paintwork with contrasting window band and DR lettering gives the cars their typical appearance. The NEM standard coupler pocket and close coupler kinematics ensure reliable running characteristics on your layout.

Scale and technical details

The model set is designed for the nominal size TT (scale 1:120) and runs on a track gauge of 12 mm. With a total length over buffers of 664 mm, the set offers realistic proportions for epoch-appropriate train formation. All of the cars are prepared for retrofitting with interior lighting (Tillig 08863) and can optionally be equipped with end-of-train lighting.

The set can be ideally combined with locomotives such as the class 132 or the matching Tillig 502451 cab control car. Whether as a city express variant or a classic express train - with this set you can faithfully reproduce the GDR long-distance traffic of Era IV.
