Tillig 01125 TT Reisezugwagenset, DB AG, Ep. V Product Details

Description

Are you looking for a realistic DB AG reversible train set for your TT layout in Era V?

With the Tillig 01125 TT Passenger Car Set from Deutsche Bahn AG, you can add a classic pair of commuter trains to your layout—consisting of the well-known Bnrdzf 479 control car and the matching Class 2 passenger car. Class Bnrz 450. This two-car set exemplifies regional rail service from the 1990s and early 2000s—perfect for Era V train scenes in 1:120 scale.

Prototype of modern regional transport by DB AG

Following the railway reform and the founding of DB AG, modernized n-class cars such as the Bnrz 450 and matching control cars shaped the landscape of local rail transport. They were used nationwide in reversible train operation—mostly in combination with locomotives of the 110, 111, or 143 series. The models in this set accurately reflect these vehicles, including typical Era V color schemes and technical features.

TT-scale model with lighting functions and high level of detail

The control car model features direction-dependent lighting: a 3-light front signal at the front and a 2-light rear signal at the rear. Both cars are finely printed, with clearly legible UIC markings and realistic color schemes. The interior is fully reproduced, and the cars are prepared for retrofitting with interior lighting (Tillig 08863). An integrated decoder makes the control car ready for digital operation.

Scale and Technical Details

The set is designed for TT scale (1:120) and runs on a 12 mm gauge. The total length over the buffers is 442 mm. Thanks to the NEM coupler mount and close-coupling mechanism, the cars are easy to operate and can be seamlessly integrated into typical regional train formations.

Ideal for Era V layouts with a local transport theme

The pair of cars combines perfectly with Class 143, 110, or 111 locomotives and is ideal for realistic commuter service. Whether on branch lines, suburban routes, or as part of a train set in frequent service—this set represents regional rail service as it was seen throughout Germany between 1990 and 2006.
