With the Tillig 01135 TT German State Railroad car transport car set, you can get two typical Era IV DDm cars for your model railroad layout. These cars were part of the familiar picture of freight and passenger train traffic in the GDR and are ideal for authentic use on long-distance routes or car trains on a scale of 1:120.

The DDm car transport cars were used by the DR primarily for the transportation of cars - both in combined car train traffic and for factory transportation within the GDR. They often ran in conjunction with express or night trains and enabled passengers to take their own vehicle with them to their vacation destination.

Typical DR design implemented in the model

The set of 2 contains two finely detailed DDm coaches in DR design. The wagons are characterized by their two-storey design, open loading areas and correctly implemented side walls. The subtle color scheme and the clean printing in the style of Era IV make the cars an eye-catcher - especially in combination with passenger or express trains of this era.

Scale and technical details

The models are designed for the nominal size TT (scale 1:120) and run on the 12 mm track gauge. The total length over buffers is 442 mm (for both cars). Thanks to the NEM standard coupler pocket and close coupler kinematics, the cars can be reliably integrated into existing train formations and ensure reliable operation - even on tight radii.

Ideal for Era IV car trains and freight trains

Whether as part of a motorail train with matching Halberstadt passenger coaches or in works traffic with locomotives such as the class 110 or class 118 - these DDm coaches bring variety and reality to your layout. Loads with typical Eastern Bloc vehicles can also be individually designed.
