The Tillig 01504 TT starter set "DR passenger train" is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to faithfully recreate the railroad operations of the GDR in the 1970s and 1980s. With modern technology, classic vehicle shapes and complete basic equipment, this set offers the perfect introduction to Era IV.

Historic look with digital technology

At the heart of the set is a diesel locomotive from the TRAXX family - in a stylistically appropriate version for use in the DR design. The locomotive is equipped with a light change depending on the direction of travel (3-light headlights at the front / 2-light headlights at the rear) and can be retrofitted with sound thanks to the 12-pin digital interface PluX12 (NEM 658). Two traction tires provide excellent tractive power in regular operation.

The locomotive is accompanied by two 2nd class passenger coaches of the Halberstadt type - a typical vehicle series in DR long-distance and local traffic. The cars are of an older design, but are equipped with interior details and can be retrofitted with interior lighting (item no. 08918). The 08869 light strip is also required for installation. Coupler pockets and close coupler kinematics ensure a reliable connection and operational safety.

Ready to go with complete equipment

The set includes a robust ballast track oval, a TILLIG speed controller (without accessory output) and a rerailer - everything you need to get going straight away. The total length over buffers is 602 mm - compact enough for smaller layouts and at the same time expressive enough for realistic driving scenes.
