Tillig 02957 railcar T7 der MEG, Ep. III Product Details

Description

About the prototype: In 1923, Deutsche Werke Kiel built a series of railcars for the 1000 mm gauge, one of which was the T7. From its first owner, the Finthen-Wackernheim transport company, the railcar passed into the possession of the Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft in 1928, where it was unsuitable for the track conditions. In 1934, the railcar was fitted with a 110 hp engine and returned to regular service for the Mindener Kreisbahnen. During the Second World War and for some time afterwards, the railcar was rarely used due to fuel shortages. Since the meter gauge era ended on the Mindener Kreisbahn, the motor of the railcar was removed in 1956 and it continued to be used as sidecar 565 until it was finally scrapped in 1963.

About the model: The Tillig model is a scale reproduction of the T7 railcar from Era III during its time of service with the MEG. Decorations such as the interior, which can be set in scene with interior lighting, are also based on this period. The model is driven by a powerful motor, which is supplied with power via both axles and has a Next18 interface for easy digitization. Under the interior, on the main circuit board, there is a SUSI interface for connecting a sound module. The corresponding rectangular loudspeaker can be connected under the interior lighting circuit board using spring-loaded contacts, which means that the additional components do not affect the model's great running characteristics.
