The Tillig 03940 German State Railroad (DR) KBD4i boxcar from Era IV (approx. 1965 to 1990) is a 1:87 scale (H0e) model with a track gauge of 9 mm. This model represents the extensive completion of the conversion of traction to diesel and electric operation on the Deutsche Reichsbahn and the late Bundesbahn in Germany.

It also shows the use of internationally agreed vehicle markings and new color concepts in the vehicle fleet.The pack wagon is prepared for retrofitting with interior lighting and is already equipped with detailed interior fittings. It has an in-house coupler pocket, which makes it easy to integrate into existing model railroad layouts.
