The Tillig 04869 TT BR 248.5 dual-power locomotive from DB AG stands for the current change in rail transport like hardly any other vehicle. As a 2026 novelty, this model brings the most modern technology of Era VI to your layout and impresses with an authentic implementation of the innovative prototype - realized with the friendly support of DB Fernverkehr GmbH.
The model is designed for the nominal size TT on a scale of 1:120 and runs on a track gauge of 12 mm. The length over buffers is 158 mm, the product weight is approx. 300 g including sales packaging. The locomotive is equipped with a digital interface in accordance with NEM 662 and is therefore optimally prepared for digital operation. A sound decoder can be retrofitted.
The class 248.5 has a coupler pocket with close coupling kinematics for prototypical train formations. Two traction tires ensure reliable tractive power in layout operation. The locomotive is designed for smooth, even running and is ideal for modern operations on main and branch lines in Era VI.
Visually, the model impresses with its faithful reproduction of the DB-AG paintwork and finely executed printing.
