The Tillig 523299 Facs self-unloading wagon brings authentic freight traffic of the German Reichsbahn from Era IV directly to your TT model railroad layout. This realistic model is part of the wagon assortment from the 502347 display and represents a typical single wagon for bulk freight transportation. With its striking design and true-to-original lettering, this car is a must for fans of the DR freight train scene of the 1970s and 1980s.
The freight car is designed in the nominal size TT (scale 1:120) and is based on the prototype of the German State Railroad (DR) from Era IV. The model is analog and designed for the 2-conductor direct current system. Digital functions or sound modules are not included with this model. The length over buffers is 159 mm and a coupling shaft in accordance with the NEM standard with close coupling kinematics is used - ideal for prototypical car spacing and reliable running performance on the layout.
The model impresses with its fine engraving, the clearly designed bracing of the side walls and a realistic color scheme in the style of the DR freight wagons. The authentic lettering with operating numbers and warning notices is also neatly applied. The Facs wagon type stands for functional practicality in bulk goods transportation, especially for bulk goods such as coal, ore or limestone - and this model reflects this in great detail.
Facs type self-unloading wagons were used extensively on the Deutsche Reichsbahn for the transportation of bulk goods. Thanks to their tipping troughs, they could be unloaded quickly and efficiently - a great advantage in the fast goods handling of Era IV. These wagons were used throughout Germany in heavy goods traffic, both in block trains and in mixed formations.
The wagon is compatible with all standard TT track systems and vehicles that support the 2L direct current system. Thanks to the NEM shaft with KK kinematics, it can be easily combined with other Tillig or TT wagons. It is particularly suitable for supplementing coal or building material trains in DR operation. In combination with matching locomotives such as the BR 118 or BR 132, a harmonious train appearance is created on the layout.
The scope of delivery includes a single DR Facs self-unloading wagon in Era IV design. The model comes from the Tillig display 502347 and is supplied as a single car - ideal for the individual expansion of your freight car stock.
The Tillig 523299 is aimed at TT model railroaders who want to recreate realistic freight traffic of the GDR era. Collectors, DR fans and layout builders looking for authentic individual wagons will be equally impressed. Thanks to its high-quality design, the model is suitable for use in showcases as well as for everyday layout operation.
