As with the three-way switch, the frogs are initially de-energized and can be polarized accordingly with the aid of the motorized underfloor drive or, if the overhead drives are used, with a relay. Furthermore, the new EW1 receives new, improved switch blades. The switching relay module (MBS140822), which is not included, can be used for frog polarization.
