With the Tillig 95018 TT Uaai 9930 flatbed car from the Deutsche Reichsbahn, you’ll get a spectacular Era IV model—complete with detailed cargo and a massive support structure. This heavy-duty freight car brings the flair of large-scale transports from GDR railway history directly to your 1:120 scale model railroad.
The Uaai 9930 was a specially designed low-bed car built by the DR for particularly heavy and bulky cargo. In practice, it was used to transport industrial components, bridge sections, transformers, and heavy machinery parts. Such transports were carried out regularly, particularly in the 1970s and 1980s—often involving significant logistical effort and accompanied by special safety measures.
The model impresses with its elaborate design: The elongated low-bed section, finely engraved undercarriage details, and the realistically rendered load on the support structure make the Uaai 9930 an eye-catcher on any layout. The DR-style lettering typical of Era IV, along with accurately rendered address fields, underscore its fidelity to the prototype.
The car is designed for TT scale (1:120) and runs on a 12 mm gauge. With a length over buffers of 204 mm, it is one of the largest models in the TT freight car category. Thanks to the NEM socket and close-coupling mechanism, this heavy-duty car can be easily integrated into trains despite its length and impresses with its smooth running performance.
The Uaai 9930 adds a special highlight to any DR freight train formation. Whether as a single unit in a special transport train or combined with other Era IV flatcars and stake cars—this model makes a statement. It looks particularly realistic when paired with DR diesel locomotives such as the BR 118 or BR 132.
