With the Tillig 95865 tank car “Jacques Paucker, Bucharest,” the manufacturer presents a masterfully detailed model from Era I. Assigned to the Royal Saxon State Railroad (K.Sächs.Sts.EB), this freight car brings an authentic piece of railroad history to your TT layout—impressive, intricate, and true to the prototype.
The two-axle tank car features a particularly finely detailed tank as well as numerous delicate attachments. A period-accurate brakeman’s cab rounds out the historic appearance and makes the model a real eye-catcher on the layout. With a length over the buffers of 74 mm, the car fits perfectly into typical train formations of Era I.
The model is designed for the 2-wire DC system and features a NEM-compliant coupler housing with close-coupling kinematics. This makes it fully compatible with modern TT track systems and ensures realistic car transitions as well as reliable running characteristics—even in combination with tight radii starting at 310 mm.
The “Jacques Paucker, Bucharest” tank car is emblematic of international freight transport in early railway history. Such cars were often provided by private companies and put into service by state-owned railroads—ideal for scenarios involving cross-border freight traffic or historically inspired industrial railroads.
