The Trix 22990 class 221 diesel locomotive is an impressive reproduction of one of the most striking locomotives on the German Federal Railroad. In a purple-red basic paint scheme and with the road number 221 126-6, it shows the typical condition around 1975 - perfect for Era IV train sets in freight and passenger train service.

Robust technology with powerful performance

The centrally installed high-performance drive with flywheel drives all four axles via cardan shafts. Traction tires ensure reliable traction. The heavy metal design guarantees realistic driving characteristics and high stability. The locomotive is equipped with a coupler guided by a coupler link and is therefore ideal for realistic, close wagon crossings in a train formation.

Digital highlights with light and sound functions

Equipped with a digital decoder, the locomotive offers extensive operating and sound functions. The three-light headlights and the two red marker lights change over with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. The headlights can be deactivated separately on both sides of the locomotive - including the double A-light function. The cab and engine room lighting can also be switched on separately digitally.

Fine details for maximum faithfulness to the prototype

Metal grab irons on the sides and ends as well as a built-in locomotive driver figure in driver's cab 1 provide additional authenticity. A buffer storage unit ensures uninterrupted operation for short sections of track without power. With a length of approx. 21 cm, the locomotive is ideal for use on medium to large layouts.
