The Trix 25059 H0 Steam Locomotive 59 032 is an impressive reproduction of the class 59 heavy freight steam locomotive. This locomotive, which was originally developed as the Württemberg class K, is one of the most powerful steam locomotives of its time. In the striking black paint scheme with red running gear and equipped with a 2'2'T20 coal tender, this model reflects the operating condition of the German Federal Railroad (DB) around 1949.
The class 59, formerly the Württemberg class K, was designed as a heavy freight locomotive for use on steep lines. With its enormous tractive power, it was ideal for transporting heavy loads in mountainous regions. The 59 032 locomotive was stationed at BD Stuttgart, Bw Plochingen and handled demanding freight trains. Its robust construction and striking appearance made it a symbol of the efficiency of steam locomotives in the post-war period.

Separately included parts such as brake hoses and buffer tanks round off the prototypical replica.
The Trix 25059 is equipped with a digital decoder that offers extensive light and sound functions. The retrofittable smoke unit can be controlled conventionally or digitally, and the digital buffer memory system ensures uninterrupted operation even in sections without power. These functions, combined with the adjustable close coupler between the locomotive and tender, make the model a technical highlight.
The locomotive is ideally suited for use in heavy freight trains of Era III. With a minimum radius of 360 mm, it can also be operated on more compact layouts. In combination with matching freight wagons or other steam locomotives, an authentic picture of post-war freight traffic is created.
