Prototype: German State Railroad of the GDR (DR/DDR) class 86 tank steam locomotive. Basic paint scheme black with red running gear. Version with 4 boiler superstructures. Welded water boxes with long cutouts over the cylinders and a rounded front edge. Three-light headlights. Bell mechanism, turbo dynamo on the left, smoke box door with central lock, license plate below the center on the smoke box door. Without Indusi. Coal box with attachment. Leading frame with spoke wheel set. Trailing frame with disk wheel set. Road number 86 1360-6. Home RBD Cottbus, Bw Zittau. Operating condition around 1973.

About the model: Trix is introducing the DR/GDR class 86 steam locomotive from Era IV on a scale of 1:87 - a model that will impress you with both its engineering and its appearance. Equipped with a digital decoder, the locomotive offers extensive light and sound functions. The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass in the boiler ensures reliable operation on all four powered axles, supported by traction tires for additional grip.

The steam locomotive is constructed mostly of metal and has a triple headlights that change over with the direction of travel as well as digitally switchable red marker lights and cab lighting. Maintenance-free LEDs in warm white and red provide clear lighting. In addition, numerous metal grab irons and lines are precisely fitted. With a minimum passable radius of 360 mm, this model is both detailed and functional. Piston rod protection tubes, brake hoses, heating cables and imitation screw couplings are included separately and complete the realistic appearance.
