The Trix 25443 H0 ES44AC diesel locomotive is a faithful reproduction of the General Electric ES44AC heavy diesel-electric freight locomotive. This exclusive model represents the Norfolk Southern (NS) heritage locomotive in the striking gray/black/blue paint scheme of the former Central of Georgia Railway. With its numerous digital functions, prototypical equipment and a built-in smoke generator, this locomotive is a real highlight of Era VI.
The General Electric ES44AC is part of GE Transportation's Evolution Series and is one of the most powerful diesel-electric locomotives in the world. The locomotive with the road number 8101 was designed by Norfolk Southern as a heritage locomotive to commemorate the historic Central of Georgia Railway. With its striking color scheme and the additional lamps on the rear end, it attracts attention both on the track and on model railway layouts.

The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel drives two axles in each bogie via cardan shafts. Traction tires ensure a high tractive force, allowing the locomotive to pull even heavy freight trains without any problems. The locomotive is suitable for operation with claw couplers as well as with normal close couplers. An NEM shaft can be fixed with the enclosed clamping pieces.
