The Trix 25479 class 101 electric locomotive has a special advertising design in honor of a legendary classic locomotive: "100 Years of the Class 01". The modern express locomotive of the Deutsche Bahn AG combines past and present in an impressive way. The model shows the operating condition in the year 2025 - and, like its great role model, is also on the move with this eye-catching livery in the original.

Technically and visually excellently equipped, this locomotive is suitable for high-quality express trains on modern H0 digital layouts. With a powerful mid-engine, four powered axles, buffer storage and extensive light and sound control, it meets the highest demands in terms of function and prototype fidelity.

Technical details & equipment

The controlled high-performance drive with central motor drives all four axles. An integrated digital decoder is DCC, mfx and RailCom compatible and enables a variety of functions - including sound functions, light control and separately switchable headlights.

The headlights alternate between three white and two red LED lights depending on the direction of travel, can be switched off separately on both sides of the locomotive and allow the double A light to be displayed when switched off. The main headlights and the driver's cab lighting can also be switched digitally. An integrated buffer memory ensures a reliable power supply on difficult sections of track.

Design & true to the prototype

The model has the elaborately designed special livery "100 years of the 01 series" and is therefore a real eye-catcher on any model railway layout. The LED lighting is maintenance-free, and the couplers guided by guide rails ensure reliable train connections. With a length over buffers of 21.9 cm, the locomotive is ideal for modern Era VI express trains.
