The Trix 25655 electric locomotive is a detailed model of the class 151 of the Deutsche Bahn AG. The model is shown in operating condition as of 1998 and will impress you with its oriental red basic paint scheme and numerous separately applied components. This is an H0 locomotive for operation in Era V that meets the highest standards both visually and technically.
The road number 151 025-4 refers to the real prototype of this heavy freight locomotive as it was used by DB AG from the end of the 1990s. The authentic color scheme and high-quality workmanship make this model an eye-catcher on any model railway layout. The locomotive not only impresses with its appearance, but also with its modern technology: A digital decoder with extensive sound functions is already installed ex works. The sound locomotive impresses with starting, braking and engine noises that are reproduced realistically.
The model has a centrally installed, controlled high-performance drive with a flywheel. Two axles in each bogie are driven by cardan shafts, with traction tires providing the necessary tractive force. This robust drive technology ensures smooth, powerful running - ideal for demanding model railway operation.
The extensive LED lighting is particularly noteworthy: The three-light headlights change depending on the direction of travel, supplemented by two red tail lights. Both headlights on locomotive side 1 and locomotive side 2 can be switched off separately digitally. The locomotive also has a double A light function, digitally switchable cab lighting, engine room lighting and a starting light that can also be controlled digitally depending on the direction of travel. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting.
The detailing of the model is excellent: The roof superstructures are equipped with pantographs of the DBS 54 type, which can be raised and lowered digitally. Many components such as grab rails, sandboxes, UIC sockets and roof cables are separately applied. The buffer height complies with the NEM standard. In addition, brake lines, screw couplings and various sockets are included as separately attachable accessories. Another special feature is the integrated buffer tank, which ensures an uninterrupted power supply - particularly useful when running slowly or in poor track conditions.
With a length of 22.4 cm over buffers, the locomotive is suitable for operation on all standard H0 track systems. Thanks to the NEM shaft and close coupling kinematics, simple coupling with suitable wagons is guaranteed. This model is ideally suited for use in display cases as well as for operation on digital layouts.
