The Trix 25729 M28 Diesel Locomotive depicts the former shunting locomotive of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), which is preserved today as a factory locomotive at the Märklin plant in Győr, Hungary.

The prototype bears the road number M28.1001 and features a chrome oxide green base color scheme. Its current visually restored condition is based on the appearance of Era IV, while the model is classified as Era VI.

The model is a completely new design in a highly detailed metal construction. Numerous separately attached details, finely crafted handrails, and the prototype-accurate buffer height according to NEM standards ensure a convincing model appearance.

Sophisticated Technology for H0 Operation

The locomotive features a 21-pin digital interface and a regulated high-performance drive. Both axles are powered, one of them via the coupling rod. Traction tires enhance traction during model railroad operation.

The three-light headlight, which changes direction depending on the direction of travel, operates conventionally. Lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm-white LEDs.
