Description

Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) type ET 85 electric powered rail car with an ES 85 cab control car. Version with top-mounted train end signal lanterns in a purple-red paint scheme. Road numbers ET 85 21 and ES 85 20. Home depot Munich. Operating condition as of 1958.

About the model: The ET 85 is a powered unit with a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion. Four axles powered. Traction tires. Triple headlights and two red marker lights over both units on the outside ends that change over with the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally. Both units are permanently coupled together using a multipole coupler. The interior lighting in the ET 85 railcar and ES 85 cab control car is in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. The headlights on motor coach side 1 and cab control car side 2 can each be turned off separately in digital operation. The cab lighting on the outer cabs can be controlled separately in digital operation. Very detailed design of the running gear and body. The car body and car floor are constructed of metal. Multi-part and multi-colored interior details. Reproduced brake lines and two close coupler heads are included. Total length over buffers approx. 46.8 cm.
