Trix 25901 is a real highlight of modern railroad technology: the class 2019 dual-power locomotive (Stadler Euro9000), as it has been operated by European Loc Pool AG (ELP) since 2023 and leased to Rail Force One. The locomotive bears the road number 2019 302-9 and immediately catches the eye with its striking gray/black paintwork in the attractive RFO design. It is the perfect model for Era VI layouts with a focus on current, powerful multi-system locomotives in international traffic.
The locomotive is a completely new construction in a highly detailed metal design and impresses with a large number of separately applied parts, including grab rails, sandboxes, UIC sockets and fine roof lines. The roof design is particularly elaborate, including powered, digitally switchable fan wheels. A special innovation of this model: all four pantographs - each with different contact strips - can be raised and lowered separately and digitally for the first time, adapted for use in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
They are driven by a centrally installed high-performance motor with a flywheel. Two axles per bogie are driven by cardan shafts, traction tires ensure optimum traction. A powerful decoder that is DCC, mfx and RailCom compatible is integrated for digital operation. Extensive operating and sound functions ensure impressively realistic performance on the layout. An integrated buffer memory reliably bridges short power outages - ideal for digitally operated layouts with complex track layout.
The LED lighting offers numerous functions: The three-light headlights change depending on the direction of travel and can be used conventionally or switched digitally. The main beam can be switched separately, as can the cab and coupling compartment lighting. In addition, special shunting and special signals for the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy can be activated digitally. A double A-light function and separately switchable headlights on both sides of the locomotive round off the lighting concept.
With a length over buffers of 26.4 cm and buffer height in accordance with NEM specifications, the locomotive is ideally compatible with current freight and passenger coaches in H0 scale. The kinematics-guided close couplers allow realistic transitions. Brake lines, screw couplers and closed rail clearers are included as separately attachable accessories and allow individual refinement.
The Trix 25901 BR 2019 is the perfect choice for model railroaders looking for a cutting-edge multi-system locomotive with maximum functionality, a realistic look and top digital performance. Whether in cross-border freight train service or as a highlight of modern Era VI trains - this model sets new standards.
