With the Trix 25902, Trix is bringing a highly detailed new design of the class 2159 (Stadler Eurodual) dual-power locomotive to the H0 layout. The locomotive in a silver-blue paint scheme has the road number 2159 234-4 and is in operating condition as of 2023. Used by Railsystems RP under lease from European Loc Pool AG (ELP), it combines electric and diesel propulsion - ideal for flexible use in modern Era VI freight and construction train service.
The model is a completely new design and consists of a robust, finely detailed metal construction. Two axles in each bogie are driven via cardan shafts by the centrally installed high-performance drive with flywheel mass. Traction tires ensure the best traction even with heavy trains. The buffer height complies with the NEM standard.
A RailCom, mfx and DCC-capable digital decoder controls extensive operating and sound functions. In addition to the direction of travel-dependent three-light headlights and red marker lights, high beam, cab and engine room lighting as well as direction of travel-dependent coupler compartment lighting can be controlled digitally. Two newly designed pantographs can be raised and lowered digitally. The fan wheels on the roof are motor-driven and can be controlled digitally - an absolute highlight in this performance class.
Numerous separately applied details such as grab rails, UIC sockets, sandboxes, roof lines and rail scrapers underline the high-quality design. The roof design is particularly intricate. Enclosed parts such as brake hoses, screw couplings and closed rail scrapers allow additional refinement depending on the intended use.
