The radio system is expandable via software. With the extensions, it is also possible to control vehicles with corresponding radio receivers directly in DCC format via the radio master. This means that the DCC command no longer has to be transmitted to the locomotive via the tracks. Thus, for example, the locomotives of the garden railroad or the vehicles of the Faller Car System can be controlled directly. Another software extension will then also make it possible to combine the system with Gamesontrack position.

With the DAISY II hand controller, all address and control information is shown on the display. The speed is adjusted by an endless knob. Pressing the throttle changes the direction of travel. 20 locomotive special functions can be switched directly via the numeric keypad. All others via the locomotive special function menu.

DAISY II can be disconnected from LocoNet at any time without loss of the locomotives' current running status and reconnected at another location. With the radio module the DAISY II hand controller can be extended to a DAISY II radio hand controller. For radio operation the radio master is still needed. The DAISY II radio hand controller is also suitable for operation on all command stations with LocoNet connection. It can be connected directly to the LocoNet, i.e. it can work wired, or by radio with a radio master, which is connected to the command station via LocoNet. The range of the DAISY II radio hand controller is up to 100 m (free field) to the next radio master. Depending on the system configuration, between 4 and 20 DAISY II radio hand controllers can be used simultaneously. The DAISY II- radio handset controller can be conveniently charged via the included charging adapter.
