The Viessmann 8060 H0 CarMotion Maltese MAGIRUS DEUTZ 3-axle with rotating beacon is designed as a basic model of the CarMotion series for active driving. Designed in H0 gauge, the vehicle combines a prototype-oriented design with comprehensive technical equipment that has been specially developed for realistic traffic processes on model roads. The focus is clearly on function, as the model is intended for permanent use in driving operations.
The design as a three-axle vehicle underlines the character of a powerful truck. The Maltese design is part of the model designation and characterizes the external appearance, while the rotating beacon visually supports the vehicle's functional claim. In combination with CarMotion technology, the result is a model that can be seamlessly integrated into dynamic traffic scenes.
Like all models in the CarMotion series, this vehicle is also equipped with a charging and programming connection. The energy supply is provided by modern Li-Po batteries, which enable short charging times and at the same time offer a long running time in driving mode. Depending on the driving style, speeds and waiting times, operating times of several hours can be achieved, making the vehicle suitable for extended driving cycles on the system.
The vehicle is conveniently switched on and off via a reed contact under the roof of the driver's cab. Operation is possible with a magnetic pen or a telescopic magnetic rod, so that direct access to the vehicle is not necessary. This solution facilitates operation, particularly on permanently installed systems.
The speed-controlled motor enables realistic braking and acceleration processes as well as a configurable speed. This allows the driving behavior to be specifically adapted to different system situations. It is controlled via infrared signals and is part of the CarMotion system, whereby permanent magnets in the road, electromagnetic stop coils and a remote control can also be used for control.
An infrared transmitter and receiver is integrated for distance control, which can be used in conjunction with other CarMotion vehicles. In addition, the model is compatible with existing systems with contact wire or magnetic tape, which enables flexible integration into existing systems. Even without lane aids, a short straight-line reversing movement is possible via the remote control.
The vehicle has extensive lighting, which covers both the interior and exterior. In addition to the cab lighting, brake lights, reversing lights, indicators, hazard warning lights and dipped and main beam headlights are integrated. Depending on the vehicle type, there are also roof indicators, which are supplemented here by the rotating beacon. The visible driver's cab with figure contributes to the vivid representation of the system operation.
The underfloor drive ensures a clear loading area and supports the prototypical design of the vehicle body. CarMotion trailers or semi-trailers can be connected via the 5-pin plug-in coupling, allowing the vehicle's range of use to be extended. A suitable retrofit set for sound is also available to further extend the range of functions.
