The Viessmann 8131 H0 CarMotion MAGIRUS DEUTZ 2-axle Shell tanker is designed as a functional basic model within the CarMotion series. The vehicle combines a prototype-oriented design with extensive technical equipment that has been specially developed for active driving on model roads. Designed in H0 scale, the model is aimed at users who want to depict realistic traffic processes with self-propelled road vehicles.
As a tanker with a classic body, the model represents a truck that is firmly integrated into the CarMotion system. The Shell tanker version is part of the model designation and defines the character of the vehicle. However, the focus is on functionality, as the vehicle is not designed as a stationary model, but is intended for permanent use on the road.
Like all models in the CarMotion series, this tanker also has an integrated drive unit with modern battery and control technology. The energy supply is provided by a Li-Po battery, which enables short charging times and at the same time offers a long running time. Depending on the driving style, several hours of operating time are possible in normal driving mode with waiting times and changing speeds, while continuous driving is also possible at maximum speed.
The vehicle is conveniently switched on and off via a reed contact located under the roof of the driver's cab. It can be operated using a magnetic pin or a telescopic magnetic rod. This means that direct access to the vehicle is not necessary, which makes it much easier to use on the installation.
The Viessmann 8131 tanker is equipped with a speed-controlled motor that enables realistic acceleration and braking. The speed can be configured so that the driving behavior can be adapted to different system situations. It is controlled via infrared signals and is compatible with various control and stopping systems within the CarMotion concept.
The vehicle has an integrated infrared transmitter and receiver for distance control. This technology enables a controlled vehicle distance in driving mode, but is only compatible with other infrared systems to a limited extent. The model also supports operation with contact wire or magnetic tape, which facilitates integration into existing systems.
Even without track aids, it is possible to reverse in a short straight line. This function is controlled via the remote control and extends the vehicle's range of applications, particularly in shunting situations or at stopping points.
The tanker is equipped with extensive lighting, which includes both the driver's cab and the exterior lighting. This includes brake lights, reversing lights, indicators, hazard warning lights as well as dipped and main beam headlights. Depending on the vehicle type, roof indicators are also integrated. The visible driver's cab with figure contributes to the vivid representation of the vehicle.
Thanks to the underfloor drive, the loading area remains free, which supports the prototypical design of the tank superstructure. CarMotion trailers or semi-trailers can be connected via the 5-pin plug-in coupling, allowing the vehicle to be flexibly extended. A suitable retrofit set for sound is available as an option, which further enhances the range of functions.
