Definition of a monastery according to the dictionary: "A monastery is a complex in which people (usually monks or nuns) live together in a way of life focused on the practice of their religion. The monastery complex usually consists of cult, residential and economic buildings or these are integrated into one building. The name monastery comes from the Latin: claustrum, which means "closed place".
